How to Reset Logitech Circle View Doorbell: 2 General Ways

Before you go any further, you should know that both of these methods will initiate a hard reset to your Circle View Doorbell. So, think twice before doing so.

Method 1: Logitech Circle View Doorbell by Pressing the Doorbell Button

For this method, you will need a pin. Additionally, you will notice in the manual that it is advised to first detach the doorbell from the mounting plate. Follow these steps to go with this method –

To detach the Circle View doorbell, insert the pin into the little hole on the bottom of the device. The doorbell should simply pop off the mounting plate.
First, disconnect the doorbell power cables. Then, connect them back to the device.
You will find the doorbell button at the bottom. As you reattach the doorbell to the mounting bracket, press and hold the button.
Keep pressing the doorbell button for about 9 seconds.
There will be a beep sound and three pink flashes coming from the light on top of the doorbell. Your Logitech Circle View doorbell will be reset if this happens.

Method 2: Logitech Circle View Doorbell with Additional USB Power Source

This method is pretty similar to the first. However, this is more appropriate for those who have power problems in their house wires. That is why an additional 5V/2A USB power source will be required along with a pin. If you have what is required, then follow the below steps –

Just like before, unmounts the doorbell from the mounting bracket by inserting the pin into the small hole under the device. The doorbell should come off easily.
After that, disconnect the power wires from the back of the doorbell. But, don’t reconnect them this time.
Get the 5V/2A USB power source and attach its USB plug to the power supply connector of the doorbell. In the meantime, press and hold the doorbell button.
Just like the first method, you should keep holding the button for 9 to 10 seconds until you hear a beep sound and see 3 pink flashes on the doorbell’s light.
This will indicate you have successfully reset your Logitech Circle View Doorbell.

Do You Need to Reset Your Logitech Circle View Doorbell?

Although I have shown two methods for resetting this Doorbell, you don’t need to do that for minor technical glitches. Instead of doing a factory reset, you can do a soft restart on the doorbell.

Just disconnect all the power cables from the doorbell and reconnect them. This will not only restart the Doorbell but also fix any minor technical difficulties. Since this model of Logitech can connect with the Apple HomeKit app, you can simply remove the device by following the steps to give a quick reset –

Once you open the Apple HomeKit app, tap on the camera’s tile.

After that, click the gear icon at the top left.

Once you are there, scroll all the way down until you see the “Remove Camera from Home” option.

After pressing the option, a confirmation pop-up will appear. Confirm your elimination by pressing the “Remove Camera” option.

This will remove the Doorbell from the app. Once you link it back to the Apple HomeKit app, it will be reset.

A factory reset will remove all of the existing settings and return your Doorbell to the way it was when it was first turned on. The Wi-Fi connectivity, profiles, history, and other settings that you created on the device will all be deleted. That is why it should only be done as a final alternative.

How to change the current WiFi on a Logitech Circle View Doorbell?

With the help of the Circle Parent app, you may change the current WiFi settings for your Doorbell. Open the app, and then tap the “Circle Home Plus Offline” banner. After that, choose “Update Wi-Fi Certificate” and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember, this procedure is only applicable to Android devices.

Why does my Logitech Circle View Doorbell often go offline and online?

This issue can occur when the Circle app along with its firmware are not updated. First, update the Circle app from the app store. At the same time, check whether your phone is updated or not. Connect the Circle app to a secure WiFi connection and leave it to update the firmware for 24 hours. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then check your router and internet connection.
